I haven't been to a dentist in about 10 years. With previous bad experiences I was hesitant to go. My husband has been going to Dr. Castro for about a year and has only good things to say about him and the staff. My husband kept telling me to just give them a try. So I did. Let me just say that they are very welcoming and made me feel happy that I came in. I have been in twice now and am looking forward to my next future appointments to make my smile shine on! The staff and dental hygienists are awesome! I'm glad I finally found Dr. Castro and staff. They are all an awesome team together and made my experience from day one a good one. Thank you guys so much!
Simply put, Dr. Van Dyk is more than our family dentist....he is a part of our family! And has been for three, going on four, generations! Thank you for all of your years of gentleness, kindness, and laughter! We are forever grateful!

I went to Dr. Castro in order to have cavity work done on a bunch of my teeth - actually 7 total. We broke it up into 3 appointments and each one went flawlessly. Very relaxed atmosphere. Dr Castro and his assistant Star were both very attentive to how I was feeling, making sure there wasn't any pain (there was none). After the fillings they made sure my bite was even and I came out of every appointment feeling good.
I have been going here for about 25 years and the entire team is great! My two kids also went here. They are now 24 and 27 we perfect teeth. They do an expert job and are always concerns that I am comfortable and not in pain.
I'm a new patient of Dr. Castro. I've had a ton of dentist experiences (including a dentist in Thailand on my honeymoon). Dr. Castro is by far the best dentist I've ever experienced. He is kind, knowledgeable and understanding. Not only did he make me feel comfortable in office, but he takes extra time to check in after my more intensive appointments to make sure I'm feeling ok. I'm so excited I found him.
Side note, his front office and dental hygienist are just as wonderful!
A very friendly dentist and kind to his colleagues and patients. Dr. Castro is humorous but not lacking in professionalism. A graduate of UOP and practiced under Dr. William Van Dyk after completing his education.
I used to live in Richmond but I recently moved to the Antioch/Brentwood area and Dr. Castro's knowledge and care is worth the drive.
Dr. Castro's staff and hygienists are intelligent and skilled. I feel very comfortable with them.
I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted here and I did not feel pain. His assistant even cleaned them up for me in a special solution once I asked if I could have them.
As far as I could tell, he only recommends necessary procedures.
I would recommended him to anyone seeking a dentist that truly cares for his patients.

My family and I are new patients here, and we already love it. By far the best dentist experience I've ever had. I have two toddlers and one of them didn't like her 1st dentist visit which was some place else. Dr. Castro made my daughter feel so safe and now she isn't even scared to go! So that tells you something. The staff are very sweet and great to hang around. Thank you Dr. Castro! You guys have changed the way we look at dentist visits now!
Dr. Castro is hands down the best dentist I've ever been to. Over the years I've had far too many truly traumatic dental experiences at other places... Dr. Castro has been nothing but calm, understanding, patient, and empathetic. He will keep you laughing through all procedures, and you will leave with a smile, and no pain. (Seriously, best cleaning I've ever had was with Dr. Castro.) Everyone in his office is very sweet and is willing to take the time to explain things and answer even the silliest questions.
Best dentist I've ever had. Nitroused me up real smooth and proceeded to do my painless root canal. He's also super funny, and the nurse is very comforting and nice as well. Top notch work going on in this office.
